The Flojo 5 x 5 Box Challenge
Some of you may already be familiar with mindful breathing and the benefits it brings, but for many, this may be very new and something you've never tried before.
And that's ok.
I want to reassure you that this won't be hard.
It's not going to cost you anything.
And you might actually quite enjoy it.
So what is it?
Box Breathing or square breathing is a technique used to calm oneself by taking slow, deep breaths. This can heighten performance and concentration while also being a good stress reliever.
You simply breathe in through your nose for a count of (3, 4 or 5),
hold the breath for the same, slow count, then breathe out through the mouth (3, 4 or 5). Hold the breathe one more time for the same count. And repeat for 5 minutes.
We've called it the 5 x 5 because we would love you to try this for 5 minutes a day, for 5 consecutive days, and just....see how you feel.
